One of my favorite ways to make a tablescape memorable is to add something simple yet special to each place setting.
It's like a personal welcome to each family member or guest as they sit down to the table!

ADDING POP, PRETTY AND PIZZAZZ TO ANY TABLE
Here's one way to make a table memorable!
A table can go from good to memorable when you...
ADD A GREAT BOWL...

Adding a bowl that is unusual or interesting or fun or seasonal brings an extra layer of style to the table. A small accent plate that is distinct can do the same.
This big green flower bowl adds a big happy pop of color to a black and white stack of dishes.
A beautiful rose bowl mimics the roses on the table. The tea table was set for royalty. Roses and silver were a must!
Let's celebrated a Strawberry Festival! The strawberry bowl carried on the theme!
Doesn't it look yummy!
When a bowl looks like a crown it is just the right thing to top off a bridal veil tablescape.
This is a favorite of mine.. it has a special story to go along with it!
Look at this unusual little blue and white bowl. I use it often because of it's tiny pedestal. So pretty!
It works in a sea of blue and white on the table!

This demure table is all about daisies! The sweet yellow bowl adds a big dose of happy color and carries out the theme!
The table was set near my perennial garden when the daisies were in full bloom!

Although not a bowl, this sweet little purple plate brings color, fun and life to this softly colored lilac tablescape.
This table was set for an intimate Mother's Day lunch on the porch.

Here's a few helpful hints for collecting interesting bowls and accent plates...
~ Don't spend a lot of money.
I find many fun bowls and plates on sate at stores like Pier 1, HomeGoods and TJMaxx.
~ You don't have to buy a set of 8!
If I see a bowl or accent plate I like and there is only one, I buy it. I can use it on the table to hold a condiment or a candle. It will add interest to the table.
~Use them!
Don't let pretty bowls an accent plate decorate your cupboards! Use them often!
