When I saw this recipe at Cuisine Kathleen I knew that it would end up on the menu. Doesn't that sound fabulous? Just like Kathleen's, blog~ full of wonderful recipes and tasty treats!
Recipe:Braised Brussels Sprouts With Bacon and Shallots
1 1/2 lbs brussels sprouts, cut in half
8 slices bacon, cut into cubes
1 small shallot, chopped
salt and pepper
2 sprigs of fresh thyme
2 cups good chicken stock
1 TBS good white wine
Parmesan cheese
panko bread crumbs
2 sprigs of fresh thyme
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
In a large ovenproof pan, add bacon and render fat, about 3-4 minutes. Add shallots and cook for 3 minutes. Add Brussels sprouts and cook on each side until caramelized. Add thyme and cook for an additional minute.
Add chicken stock until Brussels sprouts are half covered and cook gently for 10 minutes, covered.
Add wine and cook for another minute or two.
Toss bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese together and sprinkle over Brussels sprouts. Put in oven and cook until the dish is hot and crispy.

Oh, what a wonderful dish. Don't turn up your nose on this one. It is delicious!!!! And your whole house will smell as if you have been cooking all day. Look for Halushki on Thursday's menu. This is a StoneGable recommended recipe!

My family loves this easy dish. Moist chicken, and very flavorful!
6 chicken thighs
6 drumsticks
1 bottle Catalina salad dressing
1 package Lipton onion soup
1 jar apricot jam
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the dressing, soup mix and jam. Add chicken and thoroughly mix. Turn out the bowl onto a large rimmed baking sheet and cook chicken until it is done through, about 50 minutes to 1 hour.

I am still using tomatoes from the garden. This taste of summer is a delightful way to use up little heirloom tomatoes! Panzanella Salad could be a meal in itself!

8 baking potatoes
butter
bacon
cheddar cheese, shredded
green onions, finely chopped
cheddar cheese
Bake potatoes until done. Split potatoes and add a small pat of butter. Top with cooked crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese and green onions. Add a dollop of sour cream.
